It fell to earth upon that night;
fiery, brilliant, full of light.
Seen by both night and day;
wonder, miracle, magnificent they say.
It brought hope to the darkest soul;
mercy, forgiveness, even love.
Some saw it upon the knoll;
fearful, excitement, guided from above.
It called to those far and wide;
wise, few, those who’d abide.
Beware, they know, of greed beyond bounds;
danger, flight, can’t be found.
What fell to earth you say;
mysterious, unknown, a hope you pray.
It shall always lie within your heart;
patient, loving, never apart.
