So, you want to try a hand at cooking?

A recipe, ingredients, a measuring cup;
don’t forget a very large bowl.
Dump it all in there together,
measured from cup to pinch.
Spoons and cups, teaspoons and ounces;
putting it together is a cinch.
You place it upon a pan,
buttered well, it goes in.
Up the temp by Fahrenheit,
a timer watches what’s within.
Pull it out when it’s ready,
plate and pass around.
Always say the blessings first,
then digging in abounds.
The first bite is rather tasty,
the second is not quite so.
Why the sudden need for water?
To much salt! Oh dear, oh no!
