A most beautiful fruit,

succulent and sweet.

Fit for a snack,

or topping a treat.

From spring to summer,

do we eagerly await:

to pick and eat them;

the rest we place in crates.

From a humble start,

in old Brittany:

to celebrations,

where they’re eaten liberally.

Enjoyed by many,

across lands and time.

Red deliciousness,

eternal sublime.
