Within the night the darkness beckons,

sweet seductress is the siren’s call.

There’s danger in that silent refrain,

drawing us ever near our own fall.

Silent winds push us ever forward,

cry laden with creatures of the night.

It is their domain that I now tread,

and on their rules will I live and fight.

But my eyes were not meant for darkness,

and my senses lead only to fears.

They tell me that monsters lurk beyond,

and they know that I don’t belong here.

To brave the threats that are never mine,

existing in a world without light.

Bravery, strength, and more shall I need,

to overcome the dangers of night.
